Montco Takes Down Falcons in Home Opener 72-66

Montgomery County Community College men's basketball improved to 2-0 on the season taking down Lackawanna College 72-66 in their home opener. The #6 ranked Mustangs got off to a fast start, getting out in transition and pushing the pace to take a 36-31 advantage into the half. Lackawanna would adjust at halftime and look to slow the pace in the 2nd half. Both teams would exchange leads before the Mustangs ultimately prevailed with a 72-66 win.

The Mustangs had four players score in double digits. Sean Emfinger contributed 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists and a couple of electrifying dunks. John Dinolfi knocked down 5 3-pointers including a four-point play in the first half on his way to 16 points on the night. Matt Williams recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Baasil Saunders added 14 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals on the night.

The Mustangs will travel to play Sussex County Community College on November 12 at 7 pm.
