Volleyball Downs Atlantic Cape
Mays Landing, N.J. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs traveled to South Jersey for a matchup against the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers.
The Mustangs ran a quick three set game against the Buccaneers, winning 24-14, 25-11 and 25-11. The Mustangs had three players hit .500 during the competition; Brianna Musselman, Jenna Hayes and Bethany Rendemonti. Middle Marina Weckner hit a 1.000 with two kills on two attempts for the evening.
Kaitlynn Franks managed 18 assists in the evening and was second on the Mustangs squad in digs, with six. Mel Angelucci led the team with 11 digs and middle Briana Rodrigues had three blocks for the night.
"We did a great job of bringing everything we had to the court offensively and defensively," said Mustangs Head Coach Misti Volpe. "I am looking forward to the remainder of regular season play and anticipate better performance with each game."
