Mustangs Down Manor College in Three
Jenkintown, Pa. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women's volleyball team captured another NJCAA Region XIX Division III victory with a 3-0 win over Manor College.
The Mustangs hit an impressive .460 team average. Bethany Rendemonti had six kills for the evening, a career high for her. Teammate Jenna Hayes punched out a career high as well, with seven kills and a 1.000 average.
Defensively, the team was led by Nikki Reichert with five digs.
Hayes said of the evening, "We did a good job as a team of keeping the momentum up and on our side of the court. Our team cheering really helped my drive in the game by adding excitement. I was anxious to put each ball away."
Mustangs Head Coach Misti Volpe focused on the team's synergy. "We tried some different rotations and lineups throughout the match and I was excited to see the girls adjust in rhythm without missing a beat.
The Mustangs are now 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the NJCAA Region XIX Division III.
