Mustangs Sweep Volleyball TriMatch
Bethlehem, Pa. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women's volleyball team swept Delaware County Community College and Lehigh Carbon County College in a trimatch Saturday.
The Mustangs outscored their opponents 100-38, winning against Delaware 25-10 and 25-10 and against Lehigh Carbon 25-6 and 25-12.
Briana Rodriguez led the team in kills with nine, followed closely by Nikki Reichert with eight and Brianna Musselman with seven. Kaitlynn Franks led the Mustangs in aces with 15 and notched 23 assists and four digs during the competition. In total, the Mustangs squad tallied 43 aces and 37 kills across the two matches.
"Our goal today was to focus on precision and perfecting the basics of our game," said Mustangs Head Coach Misti Volpe. "I think the girls did a good job of that overall. They had fun, but they also knew where their focus needed to be."
