Volleyball wins Tri-Match

Parkland, Pa. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs traveled to Parkland High School to face off against the Community College of Philadelphia and Lehigh Carbon Community College. 

In their first match up of the day the Mustangs won over the Colonials of the Community College of Philadelphia 25-16 and 25-21. Steph Angelucci made 42 sets and 19 assists in the win while teammates Jalene Kicinski, Emily Mayer and Danielle Timbario notched five kills each. Mayer also led the team in serving aces with four and Timbario joined Mel Angelucci to serve receive with 14 perfect passes combined.

In the Mustangs' second game against the Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars, the team was able to win in three sets, losing the first set 16-25, but winning the subsequent two 25-22 and 15-13. Steph Angelucci came away from the match up with 23 assists while Brianna Musselman led the charge offensively with seven kills. Danielle Timbario and Samantha Reeves followed Musselman with four kills each. Mel Angelucci notched the only ace of the set and also led on defense with nine digs and 11 perfect passes on serve receive.

The Mustangs are now 9-2 overall and in the EPCC.
