Women's soccer hosted Rowan College of South Jersey Cumberland on Tuesday at The Proving Grounds.
With plenty of opportunities, the Mustangs looked very solid, up until the 27th minute, when RCSJ-Cumberland managed to put a goal in off of a breakaway.
The Mustangs kept shooting, but nothing seemed to go their way. Again, Cumberland scored off a breakway and then capitalized off of a Mustang mistake to bring the score up to 3-0.
Unfortunately for Montgomery, this would be the final score. Despite having 20 shots (10 on goal) and outshooting the Dukes, the Mustangs weren't able to finish in the losing effort.
Women's soccer will get a chance to redeem themselves on Saturday against Lehigh Carbon Community College.
