Women's Basketball Defeats Bergen 63-42
Paramus, N.J. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women's basketball team defeated the Bergen County Community College Bulldogs 63-42.
After a slow start, the Mustangs led only by four points by the end of the first half. Going into the second half up 34-30, the Mustangs knew they had to step it up. Each minute the team slowly pulled away from the Bulldogs, culminating in a 21 point lead and victory over the Bergen squad.
Four athletes earned double digits in scoring, including Brianna Musselman with 17, Remi Gerwitz with 16 and Amelia Stockman and Dayna McCrewell with ten each.
"This was a true team effort, " commented Mustangs Head Coach Kelly Donohue. ""I am proud of the way they pulled it together as a team and got the win."
