Women's Basketball Earns Victory Over Dukes
Vineland, N.J. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs women's basketball team defeated the Cumberland County College Dukes 64-42 Tuesday.
The first eight minutes of the game showcased back and forth action between the teams, before the Mustangs finally broke away to lead 30-19 going into half time. In the second half the Mustangs continued to bolster their lead, culminating in a 22 point victory over the Dukes.
Sophomore Remi Gerwitz led the Mustangs squad offensively with 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Sophomore Brianna Musselman had 13 points and four steals.
Mustangs Head Coach Kelly Donohue was pleased with the victory. "We had a slow start, but we found a way to win."
