Mustangs Split Final DH with Cougars
Schnecksville, Pa. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs softball team split their last double header of the season with the Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars Saturday.
In game one, the Mustangs had trouble stirring up any offense against the Cougars. The Cougars capitalized on the opportunity and were able to defeate the Mustangs 9-1.
However, the Mustangs made a comeback in game two, earning a 22-9 win over the Cougars. Each of the nine Mustangs starters got a hit in the effort. The offensive drive was led by Alyssa Butcher, Julie Sjostrom and Brianna Antrim. The win marked the final game of 2012 for the Mustangs, as the team ended on an up-note in their 3-9 season.
