Men's Basketball Defeats Central Penn
Summerdale, Pa. � The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men�s basketball team defeated the Central Pennsylvania College Knights 105-96 Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.
The Knights and the Mustangs battled aggressively for the win, but the Mustangs ultimately came out on top. The Mustangs squad stepped it up offensively with six members scoring double digits during the competition.
Joshua Ingram led the charge for the Mustangs going 11 for 11 on free throws, boosting his offensive contribution to 21 points for the evening. Nick Roman followed Ingram closely with 20 points. Also contributing in the double digits were Dan Drennen with 16 points, Marcus Langley with 11, and Maleek Singleton with 10.
Phillip Michaels and Adam Jones led the team in rebounds with 12 and 10 respectively. The two also posted eight points each.
�This was a very physical and intense game,� noted Mustangs Head Coach Denny Surovec. �Our guys did a great job of battling for 40 minutes.�
The Mustangs are now 21-3 overall, 13-2 in the EPCC.
