Men's Basketball Tops Johnson
Blue Bell, Pa. - The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men's basketball team defeated the Johnson College Jaguars 99-59 Saturday.
The Mustangs scored in the opening four seconds of the game and never looked back in their 40-point victory over the Jaguars.
Ryan Getson led the Mustangs in scoring with 15 points, followed by Joshua Ingram (Northeast) with 14 and Adam Jones with 12. Jones notched seven rebounds in the game, along with teammate Phillip Michaels (Robert Vaux). Dan Drennen contributed defensively with four blocks. In the full-team effort, each athlete on the Mustangs squad scored and earned at least one rebound.
The Mustangs are now 13-3 overall and 8-2 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference. Next the team will travel to Delaware County Community College to play the Phantoms at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday Jan. 11, 2011.
