Mustangs Lose Soggy Game 3-14

Blackwood, N.J. – The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs men's baseball team lost 3-14 to the Camden County College Cougars on Wednesday, Apr. 21, 2010.

The Mustangs traveled to Camden County College to play the Cougars in rainy, wet conditions. In an on-and-off game, delayed a number of times due to rain, the Mustangs and Cougars battled it out for five innings before the Cougars took the win when the game was called after the fifth inning.

On offense for the Mustangs Mike Caracappa (Plymouth Whitemarsh) went 1-for-3, with one run and a double; Ron Levan (Pottstown) went 1-for-3, with one RBI; Jim Heilman (AB Wood) went 1-for-3, with one run; and Tom Brucker (Upper Dublin) went 1-for-1 with one RBI. The Mustangs' losing pitcher was Tyler Guentter (North Penn).

The Mustangs baseball team is now 15-18 overall (6-10 NJCAA Region XIX Division III). Next the team will host Union College on Saturday, Apr. 24. Game time is 12:00 p.m.
