Montco Knocks Off No. 5 Union County College, 66–59

Blue Bell, Pa. — January 20, 2026

The 12th-ranked Montgomery County Community College men's basketball team delivered a statement performance Tuesday night, knocking off No. 5 Union County College, 66–59.

After shaking off a slow start, the Mustangs settled in and controlled the game wire to wire behind physical play in the paint and relentless defensive pressure. Montco built a slim 32–30 halftime lead and never relinquished control, answering every Union County push with timely baskets and stops.

Montco dominated inside, outscoring Union County 48–30 in the paint, while capitalizing on turnovers and transition opportunities to maintain momentum throughout the second half. The Mustangs' defensive intensity forced 18 turnovers and limited Union County's efficiency around the rim.

Brandon Bush led the way with a game-high 17 points on efficient shooting, while Isaac Cole added 12 points. Key contributions from Alantay Dawson and Tariq Jennings helped Montco maintain balance on both ends of the floor.

With the win, the Mustangs continue to build momentum against top-tier competition as one of the nation's premier programs.
