Mustangs Tabbed with EPAC POTW Honors
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) has released their players of the week ending December 5th.
Montgomery County Community College freshman Cha'nyah Dunston Mason (New Castle, DE/Al Dupont) and sophomore Matt Compas (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon) earned this week's Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) player of the week honors as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.
Freshman Cha'nyah Dunston Mason led her Mustangs to a 2-0 week with wins over Lehigh Carbon Community College and Bucks County Community College. Mason averaged 21 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4.5 steals. Mason's spectacular performance against Lehigh Carbon Community College on Saturday, December 3rd ended with her scoring 24 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Mason followed up with another stellar performance as she finished with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 7 steals against Bucks County Community College on Thursday, December 1st. The Mustangs will host Camden County College on Thursday, December 8th.
Sophomore Matt Compas averaged 15.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.5 assists during a 2-0 week. Compas led his Mustangs to two victories against Bucks County Community College and Lehigh Carbon Community College on Thursday, December 1st and Saturday, December 3rd. Compas scored 17 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal against Bucks County Community College. Compas' leadership also attributed to another solid performance by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists against Lehigh Carbon Community College. The Mustangs will resume action on Thursday, December 8th and will host Camden County Community College.
