Blue Bell, PA: The Mustangs Volleyball team defeated the Centurians of Bucks County Community College in EPAC conference play in three sets with scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-19.
Sophomore Right Side Hitter Anna Morgan (Ambler/PA/Wissahickon) led the team with 9 kills. Setter Carlye Odorisio (King of Prussia/Upper Merion) and Middle Hitter Melanie Witter (Souderton,PA) both had impressive hitting percentages of 0.75%. Odorisio added 26 assists and 9 aces. Defensive Specialist Tara Moffa (Hatfield, PA/North Penn) led the team with 16 digs and Meghan Clark (Eagleville, PA/Methacton) contributed 12 digs. As a team, the Mustangs had 31 kills, 26 assists, 21 service aces and 50 digs.
Head Coach Rita Rivera stated, "The women played well in the first and second set however I was disappointed in their play in the third set. We need to improve on playing more consistently and keeping our level of play the same regardless of our opponent. Overall, I was happy with the teams performance. We have a lot to work on in practice to get us ready for some upcoming opponents."
The Mustangs are at home again this Saturday for a tri-match with the County College of Morris and Rowan College at Gloucester County at 12:00 PM.
