Women's soccer returned home on Thursday after a three game road stretch. The Mustangs were looking to continue their momentum from Tuesday's 10-1 win against Middlesex.
The game did not start the way the Mustangs wanted. Four minutes into the game, the Blue Colts scored. Unfortunately for the Mustangs, that trend would continue, as Middlesex would add another goal in the middle of the first half. The Mustangs were never able to get their offense going and went into halftime down, 2-0.
The second half saw more of the same for Montgomery. Middlesex grabbed two more goals and shut down the Mustang offense. Jess Tolkacz (FR, North Penn) allowed four goals in her second start, but also recorded seven saves. However, the team's effort was not enough in the 4-0 loss.
Next, women's soccer will play at Northampton Community College on the 11th. The Mustangs opened their season with an 8-2 loss to the Spartans and are looking for revenge.
