After a gut-wrenching loss to Passaic on Thursday, women's basketball was angry and ready to take it out on whichever team got in their way next. That unfortunate team on Tuesday was Bucks County Community College.
Montgomery dominated the game early in the first quarter, setting the tone for the rest of the game. The Mustangs held the Centurions to only four points in the first quarter and took a 52-7 lead into halftime. The second half was not much different than the first half. Montgomery slowed down a bit, but still managed to have an explosive offense. In the fourth quarter, Montgomery allowed zero points and won their first game of the season, 78-10.
Constance Stine (SO, Spring-Ford) led the team in points with 27, including four of the Mustangs' nine three-point baskets. Yasmin Gant (SO, Upper Merion) grabbed her first double-double of the season, with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
On Thursday, women's basketball will look to improve to 2-1 against Howard Community College.
