Blue Bell, PA: Despite an 8-run deficit in the fifth inning, the Mustangs almost came all the way back, eventually falling 11-10 to the Centurions of Bucks County Community College on Saturday.
The Mustangs scored eight runs in the failed comeback on a single by Emma Hagel (Norristown, PA/Norristown) in the fifth, a triple by Anna Robinson (Doylestown, PA/Plumstead Christian) in the fifth, a single by Hagel in the sixth, a single by Hiba Elrhanhaoui (Maple Glen, PA/Upper Dublin) in the seventh, and a double by Alison Henning (Norristown, PA/Norristown) in the seventh.
The Mustangs scored three runs in the seventh inning but fell 1 run short. The Mustangs scored on a single by Hiba Elrhanjaoui and a double by Allison Henning. The Centurions scored five runs in the fourth inning. Freshman Pitcher Siobhan Seymour (Eagleville, PA/Methacton) took the loss. She went seven innings, surrendering 11 runs, ten hits, and striking out five. The Mustangs collected 13 hits. Emma Hagel and Alison Henning each collected multiple hits. Henning and Anna Robinson each drove in two runs to lead the Mustangs.
The Mustangs now have a conference record of 2-4 and are 6-13 overall. The Mustangs next game will be at home vs. Middlesex County College on Tuesday, April 25. The first pitch will be at 3:30PM.
