Mustangs Softball: Mustangs Defeat Trailblazers (pt 2)

The Mustangs secured another conference win, 14-2 against the Luzerne County Community College Trailblazers on Tuesday, April 11th. in game 2 of their double header event.

In the first inning, the Mustangs initially scored on a ground out by Sophomore Pitcher Linda Sobeck #16 (Upper Merion Area High School/Early Education) and a single by Freshman Shioban Seymour #13 (Methacton High School/ Criminal Justice).

Sophomore Angie Capozzi #11 (Methacton High School/ Liberal Studies) also contributed a double, along with Freshman Shannon Lee's #3 (Souderton High School/ Phys Ed. & Health) and Sophomore Allison Henning's #9 (Norristown High School/ Business Administration) walks in the first inning.

The Mustangs further secured the victory with 8 runs in the second inning. The big inning was driven by a single attributed to Sophomore Anna Morgan (Plymouth Whitemarsh High School/ Liberal Studies), a walk by Henning, and a double by Freshman Catcher Anna Robinson #5 (Plumstead Christian Academy/ Hospitality Management).

Seymour #13 earned the win for the Mustangs as she tossed two innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and striking out one.

The Mustangs collected ten total hits: Seymour, Sophomore Emma Hagel, Morgan, and  Robinson each collected multiple hits for the Mustangs. Robinson, Morgan, Hagel, and  Seymour each managed two hits each.

(The Mustangs didn't commit a single error in the field)

The Mustangs now have a conference record of 4-0 and an overall record of 4-6. Their next game will be against the Bucks County Community College Centurions in a makeup double header event.
