Men's basketball had started the season a much improved 2-1 over a three game home stretch. Now, the Mustangs had to face a five game road stretch, starting with a game against Luzerne County Community College on Tuesday.
Despite the long trip, the Mustangs started the game off hot, building a large lead. Luzerne closed the gap towards the end of the half however, and the Mustangs ended the first half with only a six point lead. The second half was all Montgomery, as the Mustangs offense exploded in the beginning of the half. Montgomery outscored the Trailblazers by 15 in the second half and finished with a 90-69 win.
Ryan Black (FR, Hatboro Horsham) led the Mustangs in scoring with 24. Black finished at 5-5 from the free throw line and shot 83% from three. Brandon Hooks (FR, PA Cyber Charter School) added 21 points of his own. The team as a whole capitalized on their opportunities by shooting 91% from the free throw line.
Since Thursday's game against Camden County College was postponed, the Mustangs will travel to Lehigh Carbon Community College on November 20th.
