Mustangs Summer 7s for boy's and girls high school age teams.
What is it? Summer 7s is a fun but competitive 7v7 boys and girls summer league for high school aged student-athletes looking to play some soccer with their friends on weekday evenings in June and July.
Rules: Relaxed rules allow for attacking soccer and lots of goals, and player’s freedom discourages too much coaching. Players will experience a “pickup ball” atmosphere playing with and against players of mixed ages (14-17 primarily) and encouraging the creation of unique new teams not bound by the normal club and school soccer restrictions.
Teams: Create any team of 10-15 players and make sure you have a keeper. We will play with full-sized goals on MCCC’s grass fields (pitch size 60x80) and we allow team’s one guest player per game…so having a ready guest keeper is a great idea.
Game times: Tuesday and Thursday nights 6:00 and 7:00.
League size: 24 teams maximum. Can be club teams, high school JV or varsity, or any group of 10+ players with a manager/captain willing to organize the team and guarantee that enough players make every scheduled game.
We will do our best to keep all games fairly even and will ask certain teams to play a man down if need be.
MCCC Perks: Our grass fields allow space for younger kids and families to play. Mustangs coaches and players help with game-day preparations and officiating and a trainer is present for all games.
Schedule: Play will begin on June 20
th and run through July 27th with July 4
th off. Schedules will be made in June once all 24 teams are registered and fees are paid.
Last year’s participants: Pennridge HS, CB East, CB West, Montgomery United, North Penn HS, Perkiomen Valley HS, Deep Run/FC Bucks, and Hatboro-Horsham HS.
League fees: $425 for a minimum of eight games over six weeks; $35 discount for teams that field two teams. All checks are to be payable to Montgomery County Community College and sent to Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422 c/o Bruce Bach HSC.
